Longer stories are in the works. Rather than list titles that might change, here are the themes they’re built around — the things that actually come up in a toddler’s week.
Big feelings, named out loud
Grumpiness that arrives from nowhere. Frustration at a thing that will not work. The feeling with no name yet. Stories that sit with it rather than fixing it in thirty seconds.
Brave, in small ways
The dark part of the reef. Going first. Trying the thing again after it went badly. Bravery at this age is rarely dramatic — it is usually just doing it anyway.
Friendship and falling out
Sharing when you do not want to. Being left out. Someone new arriving. The small social physics a toddler is working out for the first time.
Goodbyes and coming back
Drop-off. Bedtime. A grown-up leaving the room. Stories built around the idea that goodbyes are safe because they end.
Wondering about things
Counting, colours, shapes and the questions underneath them. Why is the sea that colour. What is on the other side. Curiosity treated as the point rather than a route to an answer.
Being different on purpose
